Dear Parents,

I cannot believe how fast this year has gone and what an incredible year it has been! This year, I have seen such growth in all the students and they all are more independent than they were at the beginning of the year. I want to personally thank all of you for this great year and for all your support and encouragement you have given me.

As a class, we have learned a lot of new information and have development new and useful skills. In Bible, we have grown a spiritual connection with the Lord. We also studied the Ten Commandments, learned the Lord's Prayer, and studied the different books of the Bible. Each student has grown tremendously in reading, writing and spelling. In reading, we have worked a great deal on comprehension, pace, and fluency. In writing, we worked a lot on adding details to our writing, paragraph writing, writing reports, how to writing, and poems. In spelling, I challenged the students with challenging words and harder word patterns. In Social Studies, we studied Political Leaders (wax museum), all 50 states, all continents and oceans, Christmas around the World, and important events in history. In Science, we focused on various creations such as the oceans, animals, parts of our body and physical movement. In math, we worked on adding two and three digit numbers, time, money, measurement, problem solving, fractions, graphing, and multiplication.

This summer, I encourage all of my students to work hard and to challenge themselves so they can continue to learn and grow. Each day, please have your child read for 20-30 minutes. Each week, I also encourage your child to practice his or her math skills. I

Thank you again for all that you do! Please have a great and wonderful summer!

Blessings,

Mrs. Ashley
