DUE EACH QUARTER: 1) 25 SCR reading points. 2) 5  typed and polished journals.

Literature- For the 3rd quarter, we will focus on the novel and short stories. Students are currently reading novels in small literary circles while we read short story selections together as a class.

Grammar- Currently working our way through chapter 26 - Punctuation, a focus on hyphens, colons, and semi-colons.

Journals/Daily Sentence Editing (DSE) /Silent Reading- At the beginning of most classes, students will be doing something on their own for 5-10 minutes: A journal, 2-3 days a week in grammar or during literature, students have 10 minutes of silent reading since they must accumulate between 25 SRC reading points each quarter.
